5.18 – Gauge

Gauge is a useful bonus element for any type of rotational gauge. In gauge, if you want to use your own background and needle image then you have to match the correct min-max angles with correct min-max values. For example in our built-in image when the angle is -144, the value shown in the gauge image is exactly 0. And when the angle is 125, the value shown in the gauge image is the max value.

Background
You can drop any texture to Background property for determining background dial image.

Needle
You can drop any texture to Needle property for determining needle image.

Scale Mode
Scale Mode property is used to determine how the gauge will be stretched or resized. There are 3 Scale Modes that you can use.

  • Stretch To Fill
  • Scale And Crop
  • Scale To Fit

Alpha
Alpha property is used to determine whether to use alpha transparency or not.

Aspect Ratio
Aspect Ratio property is used to override the original aspect ratio of the gauge. When Aspect Ratio is set to zero then the original aspect ratio of the gauge will be used. Aspect Ratio property is effective only if Scale And Crop or Scale To Fit selected as Scale Mode. If Smooth or Stepped is selected as type, Aspect Ratio will be read only.

Value
Value property is used to determine the initial value of the gauge.

Min Value
Min Value is the minimum value allowed for the gauge.

Max Value
Max Value is the maximum value allowed for the gauge.

Min Angle
Min Angle property is used to match the numbers in the dial image to the minimum value.

Max Angle
Max Angle property is used to match the numbers in the dial image to the maximum value.
